RTV 900 Fuel Guage

2006 RTV at 500 hours fuel guage started bouncing sporatically, then a few hours later 509 on the guage it is completely dead stays on E and doesn't move it uses so little fuel i forget when the last time i filled it up so i need my guage fixed what is wrong with it? any suggestions on fixing

This is a known and common problem. My neighbor bought a new RTV 900. The fuel gauge immediately went dead. The dealer fixed it under warranty. It went dead again. Dealer fixed it again. Now it shows full until about 1/4 tank is left and then drops to the 1/4 mark. He is just going to leave it as it is.

i traced it down to lose ground, seems to be working fine. I will let you know hope it stays working. thank you for reply
