RTV 900 Fuel cap leak??

My RTV is leaking fuel out of the fuel cap, when it was delivered to me I noticed it had leaked out on the way to me. Has anyone else experienced these problems? TO me it feels like the cap is cross threaded, if so how do I fix this? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

There was a post here a while ago about this same problem. For some RTV owners it was simply getting it threaded right, others fualty cap, and the worst case it was bad threads on the fuel tank in which they needed to replace the whole tank. If you go back a couple pages you will see a post called "RTV-Leaking fuel cap".

Kubota is aware of this.

For most, they're replacing the fuel tank.

Get it taken care of when on warrantee as it's over $300 to replace.

Talk to dealer today about this he said bring it in, they will take a look at it and get me fixed up. I will let you know what he says tomorrow I have an appt with him at 8 am.

carried to dealer 32 miles from here in Danville, VA. He said he order me new fuel tank right away and get fixed immediately all under warranty. SO other than the inconveince no problem.
