Howdy yall!
I’m new here! I just got a used 2010 Kubota RTV 500 w/ 2100 hrs earlier this week for $2300. Previous owner has no knowledge of maintenance history as he supposedly had bought it a few days prior to me buying it. It was smoking blue on start up and when it would warmed up. The power delivery was unpredictable but a bit has changed. So far I’ve replaced the spark plugs, oil and oil filter, intake filter, and put in fresh premium gas.
The oil was low and dark as can be. The old spark plugs we’re coated black with what I though was oil but may just be gas. The filter was dirty. When I pour new fuel in, it was coming up blue, so I drained the tank, and poured more back in after. It now runs without smoking. Still sometimes doesn’t move when giving gas on flat ground. I’m gonna later pick up the in tank fuel filter, the other two intake filters, the two trans filter and fluid from Kubota dealer, which is only 25 min away.
I‘ve been reading up in this forum what others been doing to get more ooomph out of their 500, raising the rpms, adjusting the servo, and such. While trying to get around to it, noticed my servo was missing the adjustment screw. Now would I need to get ahold of a new servo or could I just get a new screw and nut?
Any help or info would be appreciated! Also from the sound of it, was this worth the $2300?
