Gary, thanks for the additional information. Given the obviously heavy use you have seen on 14 RTV's by drivers who likely treat them worse that I ever will, I think this means that they are highly reliable.
I listed in my OP all the new items I am aware of for 2011 models... go to the first post.... am unaware if some of these features dribbled in over time into the 2010 vehicle deliveries. It does seem that Kubota is NOT making a big deal of these changes although they seem to address the majority if not all the complaints I have heard about from other posters. Thus, I see no particular designation on the vehicle (other perhaps than the serial number and other such details on a sticker) which indicate that it contains the "enhancements".
To me, the 2011 model is worth the wait... I was told by one local dealer that they had replaced numerous U joints and that the new ones with zerks should be a good improvement. Also, the nose-to-windshield stop is now gone.
Dixiedog, good to know the camo stays looking purty...when you can see it
Also that the plastic top has held up fine for you. There is no single answer as regards tires.... my terrain is a mix of hard surface road/rock/gravel mixed with Houston Black Clay in some areas...which gets badly gooey and clingly with sufficient rain...which happens infrequently.
I thought about it and decided that I was purchasing the RTV to take me out and get me back home..... and that everybody seems to agree that the ATV tires are best at mud and sand terrain. So, I've changed my mind from the HD Worksite tires to the ATV style tires. The ride may be a little more harsh much of the time and perhaps the tread will be a tad more unkind to the grass when it goes over it....however, this may on occasion be offset by not getting stuck, which is never a good thing and never happens under good conditions when someone is available to immediately come to the rescue.
Good point on the winch.... already have one ready to mount....with remote control.
