Oil & Fuel RPM's SLOW TO PICK UP

My 885 4x4 (not David Brown) is slow to pick up rpm's, but has power once it gets going. Any ideas why it is so sluggish?

Fuel filters would be the first place I'd start.

I changed those, but I wonder if I am
missing a screen in the fuel system somewhere.
