Mowing RPM's required for mowing.

Just bought a new LS125. with a mid mower LM1160, not sure of the rpm's to use for mowing. Would the Blade spindle speed (2640 rpm) be the same as the engine speed?

There should be a "PTO" mark on the tach, same mark for both the rear and mid/front pto speed. I haven't looked recently, but I believe it is around the 2800 rpm speed.

Oh, by the way, Welcome to TBN! Lots of great info here. Lots of fantastic knowledgeable folks. I used to live in upper Bucks County, around Newtown, then near Sadsburyville. Is Slippery Rock in the Pocono's? I know I have heard of it, can't remember where it is.

Thanks for the info. My tack is digital, will look for PTO mark. Have only used the tractor once had to play in the snow.

Pics are a must! The mt125 is a great little tractor. I can't believe what it is capable of. Did you get a TLB or just the loader? Find " rider7767" here on this LS forum, or "Tony's tractor adventure" on utube. He has made fantastic videos about the 125.

It doesn't "show" on the tach, it is written on the instrument panel just above the tach, "540 PTO / 2933 rpm" I usually run my 72" rear finish mower at 3k rpm

Just a heads up the max rpm used on rear pto is 2930 or you could over speed the attachment or engine damage.
