Does anyone have info on what RPM I need to run my engine and what speed my PTO should be set to operate:

a bush hog
a tiller
an auger

I don't know if that info is in the operator's manual or not, since I don't have one.

2200 rpm, pto speed 1 should work.

You should use #1 on the mower & PHD. I usually run the PHD at a low engine speed. In loose soil it will suck the digger down fast at a high RPM. The tiller I'd run in first on hard ground. If I want the soil fine I will sometimes use #2. Engine RPM's are usually about 85-90% of full throttle. You could use an RPM gauge to check it exactly.

Have same sized tractor but different series. Mine has 4 pto speeds.

Typ pto powered impliment is designed to run at 540 rpm. I selection pto range, ground speed and engine rpm based on my assessment of the job I'm doing.

With the rotary mower I run it @ 540rpm & typ use 3rd range which gives engine speed about 1500-1800 rpm which doesn't overload the engine on my pasture and then select which gear/range based on ground condition and qlty of cut I'm seeing.

With the tiller, again I use 540 rpm and pto range 2 which works out to be about 2200 rpm. I select gear and range based on ground conditions and depth of the tiller. After ground is turned deep, I'll run the tiller a little faster and engine a little slower on the top few inches of depth.

I run a :YM2020D. My manual says 2400 operating rpm. (fast idle in book) The 3 cyl engine needs to run a bit faster than the 2 banger. All 540 equupment should be run in #1. The tiller I have is a Vanmar and I can run it an any pto Gear I want. I have used #4 for tilling a bed for small seeda at bout 2 inches depth on ground I have already tilled. Note the little button just to the left of the range shifter. This is the creeper lock out. Pull it up nd shift into low range and you will notice it will shift into creeper range. In creaper range low powerdhift it will move very very very slow.
