Round baler advise

I just crunched some numbers a light 4x6(1150lbs) to a heavy 5x6(2,000),his numbers would be at 34%,feeding the same LBS,that's not far off from 25% plus he had a give or take a bale
Also have less bale same waste,if using rings or nothing

JD advertises on dry hay Model 468 1650#s 4X6 & model 568 2200#s 5X6 which would mean 33% more hay in a 5' wide over the same dia, 4' wide bale.

Here's the math. 4 x 6 bale = 113.04 cubic feet. 5 x 6 bale = 141.3 cubic feet. 141.3/113.04 = 1.25., thereby, a 5x6 is 25% bigger than a 4x6 if everything else is equal.

our baler man last year was running a 467 JD an he was putting up full 4 by 6s so tight you could not get your fingers in them.an we figure those bales weighed 1200lbs.i figure the 567 will put bales weighing 1800lbs.bale weights has alot todo with the grasses that your baling an how dry they are.

I was doing some numbers off bigbulls feeding,thats it,just messing around...
But the 25%,is just what I have always have heard and the 5x4 should be 50%...

Back when I worked for JD dealer JD's rd baler bale weight spec's were obtained while baling Alfalfa. Yes type of hay and moisture content contributes to the bale weight. That's why I stated "ALL things equal" in my previous post.
