Hi Guys,
Just tried out the NH 852 round baler today. Made two nice bales and then just before the third one was almost ready to be tied the machine clog. I turned around to check of the warning device to "stop" was in place yet, it was not, but then I discovered the pick up tines were still turning but the apron chain was not. Then I smelled rubber and shut it down. The belt was slipping on the pulley that turns the apron.
So now we have a mess. Hay is really tight around the apron chain. It is going to be awful job to tear, pull or saw out all the hay.
Any suggestions? Cause and or cure?
Is there a simple way to release the pressure or reverse the apron manually? I have a operators manual but it doesn't have any trouble shooting help. Cannot open the tail gate either, I guess it needs the moving apron anyway to move the bail out of the back.
