I'm considering purchasing a rotary mower for a Kubota L4600. I'm looking at the Woods BB600X and the Land Pride RCF2760. Both are HD 60" mowers.
Does anyone have any experience owning either of these mowers? Preferences?
Thanks!
Mike

Compare the gear boxes and gauge of metal on the decks versus price.

Not with those models, but we own both brands and like them; Woods 121 and DS1260 as well as LP RCR1548and RCR2672. No one in my area handles Woods anymore, so if I bought new it would be Land Pride, otherwise a toss up for me.

I don't know about the Woods...
But I own a 6' LandPride HD, and I like it a lot, built strong and prices are reasonable.

I own the Woods BB600X, have 4 mowing seasons approximately 500 hours of use with no issues, have mowed a lot of brush in the 1.5 - 2" diameter without any known damage, still using same blades.
Here in New Brunswick in 2009 price was $ 3900.00, after 4 seasons mower still looks new. Woods 5 ft. Bush Hog 013.jpgWoods 5 ft. Bush Hog 1186.jpg

Only one landpride dealer around here that I know of and he is about 50 miles away. There are at least 3 woods dealers within 30 miles so that is all I would buy. From all of my reading here, quality and parts support is a toss-up between the two. Buy from whichever dealer you like better and/or has the better price. Another option (although probably pricier) is to check out Brown. They are the rolls royce from everything I have ever read on here, but way too rich for my blood and way overkill for my tractor.

I appreciate everyone's comments.
Troysie,
You say you haven't changed blades. Have you taken them off to sharpen? The brochure describes them as having quick change pins. How easy are they to remove blades?

Man in Black,
How easy/hard are your Land Pride blades to change?

I just bought this Woods BB 72X . The 720X was just major overkill for my use. Anyway, so far I am very impressed with the performance and quality. I have been mowing down 1 to 2 1/2 inch pines with no trouble. $2400 with tax.
