Mowing Rotary Mower for 3-Point on B7500

Texblonigan, I would think that all CAT 1 cutters would hook up with no problem. You may need to adjust your toplink and/or sway bars (at the bottom that connect to the lift arms) but that should be it.

I ordered a set of check chains from Ronnie at Tractor Smart and they work great! It is a simple install and once you figure out the correct height you want, simply mark the chain link that you want to use and everytime there after all you need to do is loop the chains through the holders. The check chains are the only way to go on our type tractors.

Good luck!

Could you tell me more about those check chains for the B7500? I've been thinking of making them but if they're available, I'll buy 'em.

I have a medium duty 4 ft model that I use with my BX22. It is a Fred Cain Agricutter model and is very well built.

They are quite simple. There are two pieces that you put on the pin that holds your top link on the tractor. Those pieces are just loops to hold the chain. Then you connect the chains to the where your lift arms connect to your implement. Find your desired height by adjusting which link of the chain you lock in place and your done! I suppose you could make them... but unless your real handy with a torch and a welder.. I'd just drop the $30 or so bucks and get them already made! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I got mine from Tractorsmart.com because nobody within 30 miles of me had any. I do believe Tractor Supply Co sells them if you have a store nearby. I think they cost be about $30 and $5 for shipping.

I like to add a set of these check chains on the BX and B series that to make it easier to maintain the cutting height of the field mowers. They work especially well on tractors that don't have position control on the 3 pt.

My B1700 HST has 17 motor horsepower, 14 at the PTO. I use a King Kutter 48 inch with no problem, plenty of power. I am not familiar with the B7500, is it similar in power? It is however quite heavy, and the weight of the mower will sometimes drive the tractor, rather than vice versa. A few years back I started a thread called "Up on two wheels, need new underwear", the bottom line of which was that I needed to replace my solid toplink with a flexible chain. Ever since I did that, no more sphincter testing episodes. My tractor has position control on the 3 point lift, so setting a predetermined mowing height is a snap. If the 7500 does not have position control I can't help you on that one.

Thanx. I have several TSC's near me but they don't carry check chains. They don't even know what they are. Not even in the catalog. I'll check with Tractorsmart. Before I do, do these really work? I can sometimes change attachments several times a day, so they have to be very easy to install and remove.

JeepOne... they are very easy to deal with when changing implements. The parts that attach to the top link will stay on and will not interfere with other attachments. The part that goes on the lifts arms are what the chains are attached to and come off when you change implements.
I wouldn't hesitate to call or email Ronnie at Tractor Smart and he can answer any questions you have. Like I said before.. I got mine from him and I think it was about $35 total. And yes... they work very well! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
