rops helper springs

Hi everyone, I have my new 224 (thanks chip), and was wondering if anyone makes a set of helper springs for folding up the rops. Actually folding is the easy part, it is the raising that is a pain.

Hey Dave,
Glad its doing well for you. I take it you are garaging it so having to raise/lower the ROPS a bit often... You might try loosening the bolts a little, be careful though because they will viberate off if loose enough. Never have seen the sping idea put to use...

I can't see how to hook-up helper springs, to make it pratical, either. If you have a canopy, it does add allot weight and makes using the folding rops a bit harder. Are the flanges hitting as you are putting the rops in upright position? I spent a bit of time getting mine right. loosened the axle mounting bolts, and tweaking the rops, checking the fold-up/down, and then evenly retighten the axle mounting bolts. Have you forgotten to lower it, before pulling into the garage, yet? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Thats where the canopy comes in. I have not run into my shop door yet, I have always remembered. Nothing is really binding or anything. I was mainly thinking about some springs simular to ones I have seen on some trailers. They were sliped in between the hinges for the ramps.
