Root Grapple with shears

that's what I envisioned, chomp up a big pile into a smaller pile. then if need be, pick it up. I don't want to have to change attachments back and forth.

I mean with the grapple and shears.

maybe a diverter valve to switch from one set of cylinders to the other set then I wouldn't need a new spool valve.

What model tractor are you getting? That style grapple with added cylinders and what not could start getting pretty heavy.

I'm getting an LS xr4046hc with backhoe.

I'm clearing brush and limbs that are on the ground in the woods. I will be working down low to the ground.

Is that a Wildkat Root Extreme? Top center of attached. If so it is around 800 lbs before being modified.

Do you have the 2500 lb loader at the pins? Less your skid steer attach I assume.

that is the one, I may have to look into a 48" grapple.
