I am looking at a root grapple that I would like to get for my 3820i. Information is that it is a 5 footer and is for a skid steer. Will this work on my tractor and will it be too heavy? It is listed in an auction so no weight information is given. I do have the q/a so that is not a problem. I just don't want it to be so heavy that I cannot use it effectively.

I have a 60" Markham / Gator grapple with extra tines, and I think mine weighs in around 500#

Some of the skidsteer specific stuff can be heavy though, so caution is advised.

I'd call Markham Welding to get a price on one of theirs...

I second Lunk's suggestion, I keep meaning to do that myself (-:

BTW, what is your loader's capacity ?
According to the Century C50 and C50HL manual;
C50 2100 lbs at pivot, C50HL 2540 lbs
These are the Humpolec loaders.
I don't think I am going to worry TOO much about actual grapple weight for mine, i.e. I may favor strength over lightness.
