Hello. If you leak the roof, does the whole roof need to be replaced, or just the part the leak is coming? i.e., a patchwork? How does a building surveyor know whether the whole roof needs replacing or not? When should you replace a whole roof?

If you’ve got a leak in one section, chances are more of them will soon appear. At least get the entire section replaced. If not, the whole thing, because the rest is probably not far behind.
