We use them a LOT (as in I purchased a gross on ebay last fall) and I have never found a foot, leg, or partial critter. Always an entire critter ensnared completely. Not saying it couldn't happen, but as many as I've caught with glue traps, it has to be rare. Other benefit to glue traps, ESPECIALLY for those with brown recluse, is that insects get caught too. Put them along walls, baseboards, and yep, the spiders end up there too.
