Thanks for the encouragement. The answer to your question is that when I am spraying, the spraying unit is so far away from the operator that I don't usually encounter any overspray at all. If the wind is blowing towards me, then I turn around and go backwards. This is very rarely needed. I keep the spray booms down low.
The advantages of my 'system' are numerous however:
* Ability to take 25 gallons of any liquid anywhere on my property, even when it is normally beyond the reach of hoses, or in the steep, shrubby part of the property.
* Ability to sit in the driver's seat and 'zap' weeds from 15 feet away, using the wand.
* Ability to take the tank and move it up, ability to spray small trees or large shrubs, simply by lifting the tank up.
* Ability to spray areas that are very rugged and rough, where the tow-behind would be impossible.
* Completely reversible - I can convert to tow-behind again if needed. I just have never found any need to do so. (Yes, the sprayer is actually a Brinley-Hardy tow behind from Home Depot, I simply took the wheels off, and used the forks and 2x4s to construct a platform to sandwich the forks. I am running 12 volt power from the battery.)
