I had a dirt road cut, pushed in, graded and compacted. Grade not to exceed 15%. No base...just dirt and rocks and no blasting. Cost $18.94 per foot. Cost included 8 culverts varying from 18" to 3' diameter. The ½ mile road rises about 200' in altitude from start to homesite.
He had to cut through a 150' wide ravine about 70' deep. He built the road up about 25' from the bottom. It makes a gradual turn within the ravine to maintain grade requirements. He started the ravine cut about 150' back and about 200' past it. He had a couple of D9 dozers and grader and excavator along with some backhoes, water truck etc. I saw him knock over some 60' tall Oaks and roll some 10 ton boulders like they were nothing....Amazing....A couple of the boulders dwarfed my full size Blazer. The rest of it was duck soup. Ha ha!
