Road Trip - long

Since leaving the Dallas area last Monday, we have been through the following National Parks: Rocky Mountain, Grant Teton, & Yellowstone. Tomorrow we will drive through Glacier NP and enter Canada.

Great trip, I was out west myself last week. I will never drive rocky mountain national park again. Was in yellowstone on the 8th, probably was in the 80' s that day. An afternoon thunderstorm came thru, driving south between tower and canyon, it was SNOWING on the mountain. Talk about a quick climate change.

It's been 20 yrs since I've been to Calgary and Banff, but it was really really nice there then so I'm sure it hasn't changed.

Wow, b'farmer - - I was in RMNP on the 7th, spent the night in Loveland & hit the road for Jackson Hole on the 8th. We were almost in the park at the same time. I didn't know it snowed, but the weather did turn me back sometime after we hit 11k ft of elevation.
Yeah, Banff, Lake Louise, & Jasper were really great, as was the US version of Glacier. The elevation was higher in Colorado, but I thought the scenery in the US Glacier NP & the Banff-Lake Louise-Jasper was better - - - just my opinion.
We are on our way home, in Springfield, Mo. tonight. I could make it home tomorrow in ~~11 hours, but I'm going to break it up into two days. I'm really looking forward to seeing my place, my dogs [& cat!], & my Kubota. I'm going to see about planting some fall veggies too - - should have done it before I left but ran out of time.

Back home this afternoon after an all-day drive in the rain, compliments of Fay. I'm just glad to be here, 6800 miles later.
