That monster has got to be a service nightmare!

I have worked at a company that operated a few of them, among a fleet of other asphalt machinery.
The cold planer operators replaced the carbide tipped chisels every few days, and the worn ones were collected in a separate scrapbin. A scrapbin full of worn planer chisels would be worth a couple of thousand euros...

The chisels would last longer if they heated the asphalt first, with a burner wagon with a 1000 liter propane jug on it and propelled by a Honda 12hp.

I worked under one of them all last summer at night. takes like 60 sec to load tri axel. Fun

This is one of those machines that grinds off the top layer of asphalt, processes it, and lays it as a new surface out the back?

Hey, i've been looking for info on those new machines and can't find ANYTHING on the internet...do you have any links, names, any other tips? thanks!
