Ripper Tooth

I am considering a ripper tooth from Bro-Tek for my Woods BH80x backhoe. I would appreciate any input from those who have one or have used one on a similar sized hoe. How well does it cut tree roots? How big of a root will it go through? Was it worth the cash? Any other uses for it I might not know about? The website says $440 with shipping.

I don't have any feedback, as I am also looking at the Bro-Tek ripper tooth for the same purpose. Posting to the thread to get updates, hopefully once someone provides feedback.

I do know that Bro-Tek offers a trenching attachment for the ripper tooth, which will allow you to trench with it. If I decide to buy one I will most likely order the trenching attachment with it.

I've got the Bro-Tech ripper tooth on my BX23 backhoe, which is much smaller than your BH80x backhoe. But I can tell you that I am 100% completely satisfied with mine. It is extremely well built, and will cut through any roots that your BH has enough balls to power it through. I highly recommend it.

Will do Pappy. When I put my order in for the ripper last Friday, Dan at Brotek told me they are on holiday this week, so it will probably be two or three weeks before I get it. My Thumb shipped last Thursday, so I should get that this week.
