When I took delivery of my new B2620 I told the dealer not to load the tires as I wanted to try it without first, besides, he uses chloride. Well, after spinning my tires several times in the normally golf course quality lawn, and turf tires will dig a trench fast, I decided it was time to load.

I considered washer fluid but the best price I could find was 2 bucks a gallon and I need 44 gallons to fill the 33x12.5x15's. Add in the Gemplers filler and a drill motor pump I would be about 120 bucks.

I called a Rim Guard dealer for a quote and he said about 140 bucks. So I took it in today. First thing he says is the rubber valve stems will start leaking in about 6 months and I will be back with a real mess. Steel valve stems are 7 bucks each. That's a no brainer, put em in.

Total job took 3 hours and the final bill; 44 gallons of Rim Guard, 103 bucks, 14 bucks for valve stems, and labor to fill, remove tires and break them down to install the new valve stems 20 bucks for a total of 144 including tax. How cheap is that. Total weight about 460 lbs. Hope this is of some value to someone.:p

What will be of value to me is how effective it is for you. Are you running on any hills? I have a set of loaded turfs in the garage that I want to put on my Kioti but I'm worried it's still to wet. I have a serious hill out front and I don't want to loose traction going down hill. I have the FEL to stop me but that runs some serious risk of damage to the loader.

Look like you're in MI so the hill thing is probably a negative but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I do have a couple of small but steep areas. One is on the edge of the lake that I could slid into so we will see when I cut grass again, probably in three or four days. I will let you know if I stay out of the lake.:D

Is the price of rimg going down? That is a lot lower than the last quote I got (>$3 a gal for the fluid).
