Does anyone have a line on a parts machine or somewhere I might be able to buy the part?

Our 223D is very similar, but has a different part number for that part.

I'm not sure what the difference is

I have a couple distributors and a few dealers not far away. I believe the part is discontinued.

A few years ago I had a page for GM parts.
I could search by part number and find dealers with old stock on the shelf. Then just call and order the part.

Does Toro have anything like that?

You might try here. Used Mower Parts | Adams Small Engine He may at least have a used one but has a lot of NOS parts too. We stopped in about a month ago, inside the 50,000 sq. ft. building it is packed with nice used tractors of many brands, NOS parts of many kinds, good used engines etc. Outside is around 2 acres of "pick & pull" tractors & mowers, chain saws, string trimmers, etc. Seems pretty reasonable on prices too.

His specialty is Wheel Horse & Toro products. If he doesn't have one, he may be able to at least point you in the right direction. Shipping doesn't seem to be a problem. He has a FaceBook page and seems every couple of days shows shipping parts, mower decks etc. to as far as California. Also sells parts on ebay. You never know what he will have, as he also shows on his FB page getting in lawn equipment in daily by the trailer load.

My 220D Groundsmaster has the Mitsubishi L3C 20 hp diesel.

From what I can tell. The diesels have the D at the end of the model number.

I know a guy that has 2 with the ford's in them that are his parts mowers. I don't know the models and not sure if he would sell parts.
If you know the parts are the same I well give him a call.

There's no way of knowing the parts are the same without the model number and serial number to check on the Toro parts page to see if the parts have the same number.
The same part on our Toro 223D has a different part number than the 220D.

I haven't dug the 223D out to see what the difference in the parts are.
