Rotary Cutter Rhino rotary cutter

I've decided to buy a 6' Rhino rotary cutter mostly based on the great information in this forum. I'm not sure about whether I need the SE or heavier duty TW model. I'll be cutting pasture for the most part with some brush also.

I think I definitely want a slip clutch. Any other add-ons that you think are necessary?

The SE should serve you just fine if you are doing regular mowing for the most part. The TW is about 300 pounds heavier and unless you plan on cutting > 1" sized saplings, I'd go with the SE.

I've used a TW84 (7 ft.), lift-type Rhino cutter for over 10 yrs. I think you will be well pleased with the TW performance. The weight of the cutter is one issue that you will need to take in consideration if you plan to buy a lift-type. The cutter is well built but may make your tractor light on the front. I'm not familiar with the weight of your tractor. Go for the TW if you can handle the weight.

Front and rear guards should come on the RC, if not do yourself a favor before you use it and put them on, especially if you use in the brush.

I ended up replacing the el-cheapo fiber mat guards that came on mine with chain type guards.

Make sure your tractor has enough horses to use the RC you decide upon too.

I've gpt the big sister to Twister, Servis Cyclone72. You don't have to worry about tearing it up when you cut something besides grass. Takes down 3 and 4" stuff pretty easy. It weighs over 1k though, and there's the price factor. I like heavy duty implements!
