Rhino finish mower made in italy

I just got a used 7ft finish mower is a rhino, made italy??.

Manual say oil should be AGIP-ENI BLASIA 150

Any idea what this means and what equivalent would be? Ty

can't find a hypoid GL5 equivilent of that product. wouldn't bother ordering something from Rome tho. my uneducated guess is that a synthetic hypoid GL5 75/90 would be sufficient. 85/140 would be the other option, but i'd start with the lesser viscosity if no existing seal leaks, regards

My FM72 6 ft Rhino rear 3 pt finish mower calls for 000 grease for the gearbox.

What do you run in all your other gear boxes? Use that.

If bought used, maybe contact the seller and ask what oil he was using? Being used you have no assurance that the recommended oil was used. Might not be a bad idea to pull it all out and start fresh with the oil of your choice.

It's just a simple gearbox I would use gear oil either 90wt or 140 wt, which ever you prefer. Me personally I run cornhead or 00 grease in all my gearboxes, never had an issue and all are quite happy.

fwiw, I called Rhino Ag, they buy these gear boxes from Italy, but come empty and then they put in 85/140 gear oil (lucas red).

So, i'll put in some 85/140. I bought this used from a guy that bought it from an auction to re-sell, so no idea what the owner put in, am going to change.

So, just in case someone comes across a rhino mower that was made in italy, Rhino puts in Lucas red 85/140 gear oil, regardless what the manual says. thanks all!
