Rhino 224 rebuild

First off hello to all! What a great resource, I'm glad to have finally found it.

Well here it goes guys, I have a Rhino 224 aka Jinma tractor that I spun a rod bearing on. I ordered a new sleeve, piston, bearings, for the one bad cylinder from the guys at Farm Boys tractors. Put it all together and noticed after torquing the rod bolts that my crankshaft is shot!

So I guess I'm splitting the tractor and doing a complete rebuild. Was helping that I might get some pointers on splitting the tractor and anything that might make the job easier. Thanks in advance to all!!!

Curious why it turned out the crank was bad after the fact. I'm assuming you inspected and mic'd all the crank bearings and journals before you ordered parts?

I didn't measure the crank rod journal as the bearing's only come in one size(that I know of). Was hoping for the best kinda thing. Saving my pennies for a new crank and plan on the rebuild soon.

More often than not crank journal bearings are interchangeable dimensionwise with other brands. Example: Your bearings may be identical to Kubota or Yanmar diesels, in which case there would be oversize bearings available. A good parts person can do this for you or you can also check with Clevite and Monmouth bearing companies, which manufacture OEM branded bearing inserts.
