Reversing Rear PTO Shafts

/ Reversing Rear PTO Shafts #11
I can't speak to the 6920 specifically. But most John deere tractors in the last 35 years have a snap ring that expands into the housing to retain the shaft. This can be verified by having to squeeze it together to remove it. Like using a pair of needle nose pliers.

When you re-install the shaft it must spline with a different gearset in the rear end of the tractor. You may have to turn it back and forth to get it to mesh. Then it should slide in, install the snap ring, and have fun.
