PappyO, I don't know on that model, but it was simply a matter of unplugging a wire at the rear of the engine on the left side on my '95 AGS2135.

On my 2140 AGS, I cable-tied a small wooden block so that the switch (under the left-side floorboard) could not activate.
It is more than inconvenient--it wears out mower clutches needlessly.

On My 3206 I removed mower, crawled under it and removed the "flag" that hit the reverse switch. Also Pulled Springs out of seat so I can let the Kids run it (not mow, learn to drive).
