Can anyone tell me if it possible and if so how to change the direction of these pumps?

I do not think it is possible. Maybe share a little more information about what you want or need to accomplish would get some more responses.

the pumps are in bobcat 720. it has a wisconsin engine but the ran the pums off the front of the motor so facing the pumps they turn CCW I want to repalce the engine with a Kubota. but i do not want to run it off the crankshaft pulley. So to do it I need to reverse the direction of the pumps.

Oh I understand. The only way I see to do it would be with a gearbox. Hopefully someone else will give better ideas.

You might be able to convert the rotation on those back to back to piston pumps. The way these are made is that you have the two rotating groups with one spinning CCW & the other is CW so switching the port or lens plate from end to end would convert those pumps. The big unknown is where the charge pump is located. I cannot tell from the pictures but possibly the spin on filter is charge inlet. If yes then you would have to also determine if the rotation of the charge pump can be changed or a new charge pump purchased.

Is there also an implement pump on this pump stack? If yes suspect is a gear or vane pump either of which can typically be field converted for rotation change.

Looks like you have a Vickers TA1515 double hydrostat with a vickers vane pump for lift/tilt/aux port. Like Oldnslo said likely would have to check the charge pump internals. The vane pump would be easy to reverse rotation. It is do-able.

Thanks for the reply. I have been reading, searching, and watching videos for a week or more now So i know a little more then i did when i started. I think because these are the older style cast iron pumps they do not make their own charge pressure, they rely on the small vein pump for that. Because of that, they do not have a ( wafer plate ) to reverse. All i need to do is reverse the vein pump to supply charge pressure. Your correct there is only one inlet and its where you see the filter in the pictures. Can anyone tell me if this is true and if so would I have to reverse the lines to the motors?

I will dig through some of my old Vickers literature tomorrow to see if I have any parts breakdown for those pumps. This should help determine what if anything needs to be changed in those piston pumps.

Lines to the motors may have to change or direction of which you rotate the swash plate will have to change to keep travel direction and joystick movements the same.

thanks, guys so much for all the help. I so want to put a diesel in it and get rid of that old rattletrap Wisconsin. Can't believe there is a chance I actually can make this work.
