Restorations

All,

I restore excavators and skid steers as well as tractors, so looking for more sources to find broken, but restorable items to keep me busy. I don't find much looking through Google, Craigslist and other sources, and usually the auctions are the best source, but they hardly list non-working items, since the resale value is so low, and they work on commission. However letting an auction house know I'm looking tends to yield "off the book" sales I'm looking for.

There are so many auction houses, that I cannot know them all, so if you know a couple, please pass full contact info to me, so I can let them know I'm looking!

I always like to hear that old machinery is being put back into use or at least display. It's such a shame to see it rot. Good going.

What part of the world are you in? Do you primarily buy to flip or do you do this as a service for owners of older equipment?
