Hello, well I was wondering if anyone knew if there was some kind of tool out there that one can use to replace universal joints. I thought at one time I had seen something that made it alot easier to replace them, other than pounding them off under the rig.,, Blackfoot

Two sockets and a hammer with a solid surface works for me.

I use two sockets and a big bench vice - basically the same principle as the tool. The larger of the two sockets allows the joint to slide out the side, while the smaller fits inside the joint. Doesn't work well under a vehicle :), but makes quick work of even every old joints. Just replace the U-joints on a 1949 Jeep and I think they may have been the originals.
