Hi I am new to the forum and not really know English, I come from Polish and need help in dismantling YM2000 Yanmar water pumps.
Some time ago bearings in the pump started beeping and I want to mention them, just do not know how?
Maybe someone undressed and will share how to dismantle?
Do I need to use the puller and the gunboats from the fan?
Thanks for any help:)

That was what I was thinking as well. I haven't seen him post in the last few days. He must be away on a trip or something. Hopefully he will be back soon and can advise.

MJ Peterson is an American member of this Yanmar forum who lives in Warsaw. He can explain in Polish, or translate for you.

Here is his page on TractorByNet. 'Contact info' on that page has a choice to send him a PM (Private Message), and also shows his personal Home Page in Warsaw.

Here in the US most of us would buy a replacement, re-built pump for about $90. Or maybe take it to a local rebuilder so he can put bearings in it.

I have read that some times the impeller inside (fan, propeller, the part that turns) has to be replaced because of corrosion, so a replacement may be needed.

Hi guys nice to know that I am missed. I actually am in the States for a couple of days for a conference. Thanks for the confidence, but I am afraid that I do not know how the pumps come apart, or even if it would be possible to rebuild them. In Poland labor is cheaper than buying parts so if a bushing can be made it will for sure be less than buying a part--if you can find the part.

Piotr, Dzien dobry!! Witamy do TBN! Nigdy nie naprawiłem pompę wodą ale myślę że nie jest dużo inacznej niż jak do samochodu. Może podobny do toyota albo Nissan od 1970 - 1980. Gdzie pan mieszka? Mieszkam w Otwocku--nie daleko od Warszawy. Jeśli mogłbym pomogać,chcę. Wrócę do Polski 8-ego marca. Może do mnie pisać po polsku w PM.

Cześć,

Mike

Ok my Polish is a little vague (actually this is all I recognized! :D) but that looks like excellent advice. Any shop that could rebuild a 70's Toyota or Datsun (Nissan) water pump would probably have the right bearings on the shelf, and the needed skill. Yanmar was good about using 'world' parts on their 70's tractors.

I think there are a couple of different YM2000/YM240 pumps. Maybe the fan mounting is the only difference, I don't know.
