Replacing power steering hoses BX1800

I'm replacing the hoses from the steering controller to the steering cylinder on an older BX1800. I expect the system will need to be bled, but I'm not sure how to do that. I've looked in a service manual, and searched online, but haven't found detailed step by step instructions. Does anyone have any suggestions?

While I haven't been down this road yet with the power steering hoses, nearly all hydraulics will push the air out on their own. Just work the steering lock to lock and hold for a few seconds at each extreme and it should push the air out. You may need to do this several times each way to get all the air out.

Thanks for the reply, I installed them today, and yes they self bled. As a bonus, the steering didn't seem to drift like it did before. The original hoses were swollen in spots, so they had been failing for a while.

There is no need to bleed (wouldn't even know how to even try to do it) a open center hydraulic system.
