THERE ARE TWO HOLES ON THE OTHER SIDE THAT MUST BE PLUGGED. I AM PRETTY MUCH A PACK RAT AS I HAD ORING PLUGS ALREADY AND ALL THE FITTING AND PIPE WAS ON HAD, I HAD TO CUT AND THREAD NO PIPE. SO THE COST OF THE PIPE AND FITTING I CAN NOT PROVIDE. I HAVE THE COPPER IN TYPE l AND FITTING AND THOUGHT ABOUT USING THEM, BUT THE ONLY STRAINER I HAD WAS THREADED. I WOULD SIL-BRAZE THE FITTINGS IF I USED COPPER. TANK IS MOUNTED RIGHT NOW WITH ONE BOLT USED TO ATTACH THE FILTER HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET. THE TRACTOR HAS BEEN IN USE WAITING ON THE EXPANSION TANK TO ARRIVE. i WILL MOUNT THE BOTTOM BOLT LATER WHEN I REMOVE THE FILTER FOR SERVICING AND FINISH IT AT THAT TIME.
I TRIED TO USE THINGS, SUCH AS THE CHAIN SAW FILTER THAT ARE REDIALLY AVAILABLE AND INEXPENSIVE. I CAN CHANGE THIS FILTER WITH EACH GENERAL MAINTENANCE FOR ABOUT 7-8 BUCK PLUS FLUID WHICH PRETTY MUCH ELIMINATED THE 600 HOUR REQUIREMENT. NEW FILTER WILL BE FILLED WITH FLUID BEFORE REATTACHING AND THE LINE DRAINED AS THE PLUG AND SCREEN ARE REMOVED FROM THE WYE STRAINER AND CLEANED AT THIS TIME.
