Replacing Ignition on 2210D

I was able to come up with a new ignition switch, without directions, for my 2210D. Now I don't have to hot wire the tractor anymore. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Does anyone know how to install it? I see there are four wires coming off of the ignition (1) red and white (1) black and white and (2) all black. I believe there are 5 prongs on the bottom of the switch.

I have to ask, why are you replacing your ignition switch? I realize you have had some serious electrical issues here lately, but what symptoms have led you to believe that your ignition switch is bad? If you had problems determining which battery cable was the positive and which was ground, putting in an ignition switch will be harder. I am not trying to be insulting, I just want you to slow down and be methodical. We are here to help.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!....Yet another thread in this on-going horror story. Are you actually saying that you have been hot-wiring your tractor during this whole ordeal? Is there an existing switch, and is the new one a genuine Yanmar switch, if so, it's a no-brainer, if not......

Ok, I need to back up a bit. It seems I have caused a stir with the many electrical questions I have posed. I appreciate the responses. But the situation has not been as bad as I have described it. This is probally my fault though because of how descriptive I have been. Thanks for the info on how to use the threads as well.

1st- we have been hot wiring the ignition. Now we have an ignition. It seems simple but I just wanted to ask because of what happened earlier with the battery situation.
