Tractor
Kioti DK35
This is our 2nd Kioti and it has been a great tractor. However as I look at negative temps and a forecasted 12" of snow, I want a cab!! I have read a bunch of posts about building my own and I am not opposed to that. There has also been the suggestion that it might be less to trade the tractor in for a new one with a cab. However, Kioti no longer makes the DK35. We build on the islands of Lake Winnipesaukee, so I don't want to go much larger. Has anyone looked at the CK series to replace the DK? Suggestions?

How much larger would be too much? There is not that great of difference in physical size of a DK40 than the DK35. Outside wheel/tire width is +5", wheel base length front to rear axle is =4.5", length from front grill to rear of rear tire is 2", and the DK40 weighs only about 180 lbs. more (plus adding a cab is another 200 lbs.
Factory cab on the DK is much nicer than dealer installed version on the CK.

I would be looking at the DK40seCAB. It is not all that much larger, and will keep you a lot warmer..:) Heck as cold as it is down here now, I have no interest in "seat time" on my DK35se. and I know you are a bunch colder up there.

I'd get a DK 40/45 HST Cab before they are gone....
The factory cab VS open station is about 450lbs more....
Here, spec it out....lists tractor/ loader/backhoe weights and capacities seperate http://www.grainbins.com/pdfs/us-dkse.pdf

You can save a copy to your computer, I tried to upload it but the file was to big.

Oh yea the A/C uses a few ponies, consider the 45;)

Thanks for the reply's. We primarily use the tractor with a cement mixer or chipper. The killer is barging out to the islands and then getting it up to a jobsite. Couple of inches or pounds wont matter....but we are already near capacity for some logistics. Our original CK20 was great for maneuvering, but could not handle the mixer.

Does it have to be Kioti ? If not Check out the LS XR3037 cab. Sounds like a perfect match.

I priced this tractor from 2 dealers one was at $25,000.00 the other at $24,500.00.

It was a hst with cab. Has a 2200 lbs loader with dual remotes standard. It is Tier 4 with a turbo at 37 hp with around 30 pto HP.

Fit and finish is nice.
