I am about to replace the clutch on my 6500 as it is slipping really bad from forth gear on up. My question is about the Service Manual for the 6500, would it have any info that would benefit me on this job or is it a waste of money? I have split a couple older Fords and helped with clutch jobs on them, so I at least have a little knowledge, in general. TIA!

Typically some torque specs and exploded views. Maybe a little beyond that. But overall it’s not like a factory car manual.

I'd be interested to see how this goes if you could share images of the project.

Might need some specs. My 4110 has adjustable fingers on the pressure plate and you have to know the spec and where to measure for the installed height. I have to remove the flywheel and do it on a bench using a "special" tool I made up. Kinda hard to reach the flywheel surface to measure with the disc installed. But as far as just doing the split the manual probably won't help a lot.
