Does anyone have experience with an aftermarket replacement seat for their CUT? I have a John Deere 790 and am interested in a replacement seat with the side body supports and simply something more comfortable. If anyone has located a good product, which one, vendor, price, etc. please.

You might want to try your local TSC. Whenever I visit mine I always see a pretty good selection of replacement and universal tractor seats and armrests.

I tried to put one of them nice JD X series garden tractor seats on my machine because I noticed the mounting was the same so I gave it a try and I only ran into one small glitch: the operator presence button on the bottom of the seat support would not get push in so a small rubber plug would have been needed to fix this. I really like those seats but because of this I decided not to put it on for good. It was about 90 dollars form my JD dealer. I would look into that route since no modification is really needed.

Oh since the new special edition x series come with armrests you could easily add those too.

You might check out Surplus Center. I recall seeing a few in
their latest catalog at less than the spectacular prices of
establishments such as N. Tools, etc..

I ordered one from www.valubilt.com. It is JD yellow, adjustable spring loaded suspension, wrap around arm rest, slide front to rear. I paid about $80 for it.

My local TSC store even had the <font color="yellow">YELLOW</font> seat to upgrade your 790 to look like the other Deere tractors. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Try www.industrialseats.com. You can get seats from them with air suspension and have an on-board compressor.
