So long as you can get it at your local dealer it's all good. I've found out before (from dealing with Messicks) that their ship cost is excessive.$1145 from grammer supplier + shipping
$1004 from kubota free pickup at your local dealership
same seat, cheaper from Kubota
Northern sells K&M but K&M is less on their company website. Used to buy a fair amount from them many years ago when they were primarily chainsaw and wood related. Good for bars, chains and other stuff chainsaw related but that went by the wayside.Maybe Northern Hydraulics may have something.
I bought a cordura seat cover from Durafit for $40. Covers and protects the vinyl seat and no sweaty butt.OEM Kubota seats are stupid expensive.. and not worth the price.
I had to replace the seat on my Open Station M9. Bought a cordura covered Talon seat with adjustable lumbar and armrests from Rural King and then ordered a new low mount suspension from K&M (they also sell seats including Grammar). Seats are all made to ISO specs today so the mounts on any seat will align with the holes in any seat base. 100% bolt up and that will include a self contained air ride seat base if you want to go that route. The air ride seat bases (with self contained 12 volt compressor start at about 1000 bucks. I went with adjustable spring suspension, much cheaper.
I have the full Grammar air ride swivel seat base and Grammar cordura seat with armrests and lumbar plus the swivel base in my cab Kubota, came with it new.
For me, Rural King has the best price on Talon Seats and K&M has the best price on seat bases.
I dislike the vinyl covered seats Kubota comes with. Vinyl seats = a sweaty butt on a hot day. I don't do sweaty butt well.
