Thanks - must look into that model. Do you have any pictures of the install and how it fit.

Got about 20 hours on the new seat. I like it. It is a bit more comfortable than the stock seat. It has more cushioning and better lumbar support, but the tilt of the seat back does not give quite as much support to the mid back, although it makes turning around in the seat to face backwards easier. I really like the drain hole.

Re: Replacement Seat for CT 235

Put new seat on today. I ended up going with the K&M 129 Uni-Pro instead. it has the same bolt pattern(bolts not included, uses four 5/16 by 1" bolts) but has a higher back. it cost just a few dollars more. I ordered it from Rural king For about $115 shipped. It was a little bit lighter grey and had a bit more texture than the stock seat. The seat has a plastic back instead of metal like the stock one. It is a bit softer and slightly more contoured. It was not a perfect fit as only 2 or the 4 mounting holes lined up. I had to enlarge the other two holes with a drill press and a 3/8 " bit. It was super easy. I thought I could switch my operator p. switch but after a bit of work, I gave up and just jumped the contacts with some copper wire and some electrical tape. They offer a custom switch for this seat as an added cost option. Overall I am pleased with the seat and happy with the quality.

I thought I would update

MESSMAKER is dead on on this seat fitting. I too enlarged my holes (used 7/16) and then only used two bolt holes. I got mine from www.turfseats.com - We're the experts in mower seats. as they had the best pricing at the time. The seat is actually a Milsco XB200 Seat so check around on pricing. This is the seat I got. Turfseats.com - KM 129 UNI PRO BUCKET SEAT Our existing safety switch will fit, but if I had to do over I would have gotten a new one (normally open is what is needed). Then to protect my investment I installed the large JD seat cover. Its a perfect fit.

REMEMBER - use the 5/16-18 bolts only (Its in their instructions, but who reads them :confused3::confused3::confused3:). The stock bolts will start to thread then jam and turn the fitting. I had to cut mine off with a sawzall. Fortunately with the enlarged holes I found two others that worked.

Nice job. After seeing your picture of the old seat I guess mine has been replaced as it doesn't have the Bobcat insignia on it. I bought it used so don't really know. Is the insignia on all Bobcat seats?

Im not sure if the Bobcat parts replacement seat has it or not. Is there a label on your seat anywhere? Could be another option for folks.

Took a closer look. There is a tag that says Sears Manufacturing Co. but I don't think it is the Sears chain we all know. It also has the manual container on the back of it so I just want to think it might be original. Can't know for sure but just doesn't look like a replacement. Went to the parts pages and see there were two options, suspension seat and Deluxe. the Deluxe has the Bobcat emblem, the suspension seat does not. I must have the suspension seat. I give up. The deluxe has the accordion boot and the suspension does not. I do have the accordion and after a closer look I believe mine was the deluxe at some point.
