Rotary Cutter Replacement grease fittings for Comer PTO Shaft

We have a Bush Hog 3008 rotary cutter with a Comer PTO Shaft. Anyone know what size the grease fittings are. They are 45 degree but no idea on thread size? Imperial or metric?

I am in Houston this week and cutter is at the Ranch in Colorado County. Wanted to get some replacements at local TSC without going all the way out to the ranch first.

I looked on Comer's website and they didn't have any information on the grease fittings. You could probably call or visit the nearest BushHog dealer and they should be able to tell you. I have a 296 with the Comer shaft but I have never had to replace a grease fitting on it.

If you can't get the info you need - buy both metric & standard fittings. Gotta be cheaper than a round trip to the ranch.

Heck go to HF and buy the multi pack one SAE and one Metric, that should only cost like $10 to $15 and you will have most any size you will ever use. In case you haven't seen them HF has an isle that has these and other multi count items, I like the grease fittings, the cotter pins, and the bolts ones really handy to have around and pretty inexpensive too.

Thanks to all for advice. I stopped by dealer yesterday and the guy behind the counter spent about 40 minutes on the phone with Bush Hog. He had the part number within a couple of minutes but took long time to find someone at Bush Hog that could actually tell him what size threads. I was visiting with the tractor sales guy about Kubota and NHC tractors while parts guy did his research. Then the parts guy walks up and drops two zero fittings in my hand and says no charge, sorry I took so long. I thanked him a shoved a couple a bucks in his shirt pocket and walked out.

Driving down the road, a few minutes later, I realized that I still didn't know what size they are but, will sort that out later. Need to get some grease in the u-joints on PTO shaft so I can get back out and make dust clouds with cutter. Yes, it's dry here.
