Replacement blades for MMM on bx1860

Just saw this on the FAQ of the site that posted earlier

Q. Which Gator blade fits the RCK54-23BX mower deck (it's a 54 inch deck), but I cant confirm the hole size anywhere?
A. Yes, this is the correct blade for your machine.

We've looked into Gators several times for folks, there are 1-2 that are a close fit... but none that are perfect. As I recall the center hole is a tad too big. I've heard mixed reviews on them. I think its really depends on your conditions.

What is the Oregon part number - did I miss it? If this blade actually fits it's the first one I've seen that is an exact fit for the 54" deck. For some unknown reason, Oregon hasn't made Gator's for this deck. I'm sure they could sell a lot of them if they'd ever get their act together.

OK, should have checked the link you posted. Took these spec's from the link:

* Kubota (3) for 54" cut
* Replaces Kubota Part Number K5617-34330
* Replaces Oregon Part Number 92-048

That Kubota Part Number doesn't match what I show for the RCK54-23BX mower blade, but if it works please let us know.

I had the dealer put on the mulching kit for my 48" fine cut mower before I took delivery. About 200.00 and it replaced the 3 blades with mulching blades, and added a blank plate over the discharge chute.

If these replacement blades require a spacer or do not fit right. is that not like paying for a disaster that is waiting to happen. These blades turn rather fast for them to not be a proper fit. If one slung off, I would hate to be in the way of it when it came flying out from under the deck!

I think its the 96-748, that site doesn't really list them but thats what I saw on the URL and it matches a gator part.

From looking at it the holes are a tiny bit smaller, but some people claim they work while others say they had to have the holes expanded. I went ahead and risked it.

That was one of my worries about everyone that was buying the bigger hole ones and then using a bushing. The one I got is actually a tiny bit smaller. It fit for some and for others it didn't and they had to make the hole bigger. So it should always give a tight fit.

I saw that. Did a lot of searching for the part number, and then took the gamble and bought it. Because the website FAQ said that it works for the RCK54-23BX at least I'll have a way to complain to them about it if it doesn't work, or I can expand the holes as others have done.

Please let us know if they fit as I will likely order a set if they do. Haven't read any issues with people using the bushing, but if there's a blade that's a direct fit, that would be preferable.
