Replace Coupler bushing to hydraulic pump

Anyone have experience replacing the coupler bushings that drives the hydraulic pump (front) on a 2240 John Deere? Such as where I can purchase and the part number? Thank you..

Due to the fact that a JD 2240 could have 2 different type frt hyd pump drive couplers one needs to know yr model or tractor serial # of tractor in question to give correct answer. If your tractor has the drive with 4 bushings then unbolt drive clamps,cut old bushings off of drive studs,apply liquid shop to new bushings(part # R45822) & push onto studs then reinstall halves of clamp . R45822 can be purchased at JD dealer or just perform a Google search utilizing PN.

Thanks Jim for replying, yes it is the 4 bushing coupler and the part# is correct for this model. This was the initial problem learning the proper part# seems there are a few out there that will not work even with the correct serial number, John Deere appeared to use different couplers according to what was on hand.. Also, I'm not familiar with this repair so I wanted some verification from someone with experience .. Thanks again.

Put a new belt on it while your at it. The bushings aren't that bad to replace.

Although over the yrs there have been other part numbers(AR34098 OR AR49427) that have been substituted that refer to these bushings I don't remember any that were different size. I was employed at a JD dealership from '66-'87 spending part of my tenor working in parts department.

Correct, the number you gave me is the one referred to below.. The price of $2.12 a piece is not bad as well. Thanks again Jim..

Jim it seems John Deere parts, especially from a dealer are higher, however, I'm happy with the price considering the cost of many other parts..Take care and God bless...
