Rental hydraulic equiptment.

We rent equipment from time to time. I have found it is the nastiest unmaintained stuff but short of buying a 5k concrete buster I don't have much choice. Today I rented a concrete breaker. The fluid was so black I drained it before hooking it up. Then the hydraulic leads are a foot short.

Every time I use another's hydraulic attachment, I'm reminded of promiscuous sex... any fluid contaminates left in the rental system become mine. I've opened hoses to bleed some of the nasty out.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to open up a return quick connect and purge a gallon or two......wasting some is a better alternative

Never thought of it that way. My thoughts were like when you would go out partying in college woke up the next morning and knew you got friendly but had no idea who she was.... Not that that ever happened to me..
