Removing the Chains of Bondage...

I may remove mine as well. I don't usually do it until 4/1 but the 10 day forecast here in the northeast is calling for above normal temps with no frozen precip thru 3/27. Could be close enough!

Pulled ours off yesterday... At least now the ride is a little easier on the back & kidneys without them on...

It's that time of year. Time to watch the snow begin to melt and maybe get a little work done in the morning while the ground has stiffened up a bit. After a warm spell today through the weekend it looks like sap weather for the next 2 weeks. Time to dig the buckets out. 😋

I have to wait till my woods trail is dry enough to take the M out and remove the chains, maybe another week or two

72 here today with a snow free 10 day forecast and I just couldn't resist dropping the chains. Now I can get started on regrading the road as soon as it dries out a bit.

I'll give it another week. Still close to a foot of snow on the ground and I have some stuff I have to shuffle around the property while the ground's still frozen. I'm using R4s.
The 10+" we got last weekend are mostly gone, and it doesn't look like any more coming in the next week or so, but it's northern New England so ya never know!

We got just enough snow this AM to remind us that it ain't over yet. Last night I let my fire go out and shut the heat off for the first time since sometime last fall. I left home before daylight and got home about an hour ago... the first thing I did was get that wood stove fired back up again.

Yeah, this is that time of year when it's too warm to keep the woodstove going 24/7, but not so warm that you don't need some heat. I'm fine with house being cool-ish during the day, Mrs. Oak not so much.

Rain today, snow tonight. Should be a nice ride down the dirt road hill for my wife tomorrow morning...
