Oil & Fuel removing fuel solenoid on Boomer 50

My Boomer 50 stopped suddenly while brush hogging and had no power when I turned the key. After replacing a fuse I had power and it would turn over but not start. I replaced the fuel filter and bled the air from the filter and pump but could not get fuel at the injectors. According to the manual and dealer it is probably an issue with the fuel solenoid. I was able to unscrew the solenoid most of the way, but it is now pressing up against another part of the pump and I can't get it all of the way out. Does anyone have any advice on how to fully remove it? I do not think the part it is pressing up against is removable.

Had this happen to me on my TC 40D. I did all the things you did. I found out the safety switch on the tractor seat was not working . Fixed it and the tractor works now.

If it is a safety switch, the OP should be able to see if power is getting to the solenoid or not.

Thanks for the thoughts.

I do have power getting to the solenoid. If it were an issue with the safety switch would the engine still crank?

Due to the issue I described above and not being able to completely remove the solenoid it is now on a bit of an angle and I am worried about cross threading it if I try to screw it back in place. There is not a lot of room to operate inside these tractors.
