the monsoon season seems to be over in Kentucky, so back to work... got the mahindra 3510 out for the first time yesterday to do some mowing on the hills and i noticed that the front (as you look at it) left tire is looking kinda funky. along the edge (sidewall) there are a series of bulges for maybe 1/3rd or more around the tire. it looks like a roller coaster... i used it carefully for a while and finally decided to put a little air in it. a hole popped in the side and blew fluid all over me. it smelled like windshield washer maybe, or some kind of antifreeze... it was -23 for 2 or 3 nights here last winter btw.

anyway, i have to get a new tire now... there's a hole in the side.

looking at the wheel just now, there are two lugs that look like the nuts screw off, and there are many more that looks like the are bolts that go into to hub.

anything i should know about taking the lugs off before i start? i don't have a user's manual... i would imagine they all come off, but other than jack stand to hold it up, anything else?

thanks...

never mind, got it. btw, is the kind of tire this is available at tire shops or do i have to go back to a mahindra dealer? i'm only replacing one and would like it to match the other side of course...

Don't know about Kentucky but here in Tenn our farmer's Co-ops carry these types of tires. It's very unusual to fill the front tires on a tractor but to each their own. Those 2 studs with nuts are to make it easier when you reinstall the wheel on the tractor, let the wheel rest on them while you start the remaining bolts.

yeah it would have be a smaller tire shop tho... ie not your normal chain store tire shops.
