In the past TBN had posts that discussed removing a FEL without a nice concrete slab. This is my solution.
The little feet that hold up the loader have holes in the ends. I drilled 1/2" holes ina a treated board with the hole spacing. A 1/2" bolt goes through the holes. Added 4 x 4 steel plates over the holes to prevent the board from splitting. To use it, I lift the FEL, lower the supports, put the board on with nuts finger tight, and continue with the rest of the FEL removal procedure.
A galvanized handle on the board lets me carry it without getting mud on my hands. Hole on one end lets it hang on a nail for storage. A betteeer storage solution would be to somehow store it on the tractor when not in use.
The board gives about 360 square inches of area to support the loader instead of 12. Works great!
