I acquired a 4310 with a 48 backhoe. Was going to take it off so I got used to it on a nicer day and see how hard it is. After doing some reading on the internet I see that you are supposed to add some parts to be able to use the 3 point hitch.

Anyone know the exact parts I should be looking for when I go visit the original owner and look in his barn to be able to use the 3 point?

I suggest you go to the seller to see if they have the 3PH components first.
I had a #48 backhoe on a Deere 4520. IIRC, you have to remove the draft (lower) links and the lifting links. These are not inexpensive items.
When you drop off the backhoe, make sure it's on a solid surface...I do not recommend setting it right on dirt as it'll likely sink (the 'hoe weighs about a thousand-1200 lbs.). I left my stabilizers up when it was dismounted.
Also, the 'hoe runs off the Power Beyond...read your manual to ensure you know what's required.
