Beckmurph you were right. After removing the 3pt hitch lockout (that came with the BH kit) I discovered that the last quarter inch of the outside slot made the tph jump real quick!.
I had bought the BH65 after the tractor and the lock-out lever came bundled with it. The instructions were to lock the pth lever in the down position as accidental cycling of the pth would cause pump damage.
When I removed the BH I slid the lock-out mechinism up the rail, to what I thought was out of the way. I did not know that the lever needed to press against the top stop to lift the pth.
What I learned is that, the pth lever does 3 things, if pulled inwards (towards) the operator and slid down, the hitch lowers in increments "quarter inching" and works along its total length. When pushed to the outside, it does nothing along its entire length until it presses against the top stop and the pth jumps as Bechmurph said. That 5 inches of free travel and not knowing that there was two functions for that lever led me to believe I had a problem.
Great site...thank-you
